Honeycombed
cell polypropylene has been around a while,
however only recently has the manufacturing
technology improved to the point where it will
eventually exceed all conventional foams.
Hexagonal or honeycombs
are increasingly being used in NASA space ships,
racing cars, aircraft and transport, where inexpensive
high strength, low weight construction methods
leave a smaller and more efficient industrial
footprint.
Boat construction and
operation should be less, not more expensive.
The propylene sandwiched with aluminium, fiberglass,
Kevlar, carbon fiber, canvas, cloth etc will
not rot, be affected by water, and can be made
fire resistant.
