Our Space Age Cladding Revolutionises the Boating Industry Worldwide

Cladding started out with marine ply and glass, and then during the last 18 months an exciting material matured in development. Strong and durable enough to challenge and in most cases exceed the performance of the very expensive foam plastics.

Honeycombed cell polypropylene has been around a while, however only recently has the manufacturing technology improved to the point where it will eventually exceed all conventional foams.

Hexagonal or honeycombs are increasingly being used in NASA space ships, racing cars, aircraft and transport, where inexpensive high strength, low weight construction methods leave a smaller and more efficient industrial footprint.

Boat construction and operation should be less, not more expensive. The propylene sandwiched with aluminium, fiberglass, Kevlar, carbon fiber, canvas, cloth etc will not rot, be affected by water, and can be made fire resistant.

Cheaper and stronger than ply makes it the external and internal fit out choice for the present and future builder.

Polycore is technically a hexagonal cell polypropylene plastic, this is commonly called honey comb, it is the same configuration that makes the bee hives so strong and light.

Not being able to improve on nature we copied the best there is.
